Hi all,

I own several apartments within a development and am paying quite a large service charge to the management company.

Recently there was an electrical fault within one of the apartments and upon inspection it was found that some of the wiring had completely burnt through, leaving only chared copper remains.

I had a report done by the electrician and a quote for repairing the problem, which will require partial rewiring of the property.

I contacted the management company to ask could I claim for this under the insurance, to be told no.

Does anyone else feel that this should be covered under the insurance or am i picking it up wrong?

thanks in advance
