We have recently purchased a flat where the current tenant wants to remain in the property. What do we have to bear in mind when drawing up a new lease? Does the existing lease agreement have to be upheld until this expires or are we able to draw up a completely new agreement from the date of completion? She also wants to renegotiate the amount she is paying, which we are happy to do within reason. What are each of our rights in this case? I'd appreciate any tips you may have as this is our first rental experience.
Thanks
