Hi,

I am a retired lecturer in Engineering and I can read the drawings with ease. My property was built in 1965 after a plot was chalked out from the neighboring properties. So, on one side a special deed was created demarcating the boundary to the very inch with an exchange of a nominal sum of £5.

Now, the neighbour applied for extension facing my house and he asked the architect to show encroachment deliberately so that my objections to his extension could be diverted to boundary issue. He was successful and I employed a Surveyor who did not mark it right and put the line into my fore court giving my 6 feet of forecourt to neighbour and he used this leverage so that I can let him have the encroachment in exchange for land that already belongs to me. By doing so, I lost 6 feet of my forecourt and the neighbour gained 6 feet over and above his property deeds. My forecourt is exactly between two very old walls before my property was built. So, it cannot change but what is on my property deeds.

This crook surveyor wanted me to pay the fees and supplied a copy of report free to my neighbour without my knowledge and the neighbour confirmed that he has received it FREE too. What a crooked world and I reported this surveyor to RICS and they said get another surveyor to confirm my claim. I did not pay him £350 + VAT.

I got another Surveyor who did demarcation with his laser. I supplied him the architect's drawing of my neighbour and he faked the drawing by using the architect's drawing and showed the line in my forecourt where is should be but when I superimposed it on the Architect's drawing, they were showing coming into my forecourt 6 feet as shown by the first surveyor. This surveyor cost me £2000.

Not satisfied, I empolyed a third surveyor with Laser and he was doing it right but when I told him of the other two surveyors, then he left the demarcation in the lurch and wrong again. I paid him in advance about £800.

A friend suggested that I should build my own fence with the neighbour to avoid this headache which I did at a cost of £2000 giving him some of my land as well. The fence was falling apart but the neighbour would not put it.

So, in total it has cost me £5000 or so and my Property Insurers' solicitors, DAS, would not pay me a penny until I get the surveyor's report. They would not accept my drawings even though it is a simple demarcation.

What shall I do in such circumstances? I preach Christianity and the Jesus' Saying that if some one wants to take you to court, give him what he wants otherwise you will worse off.

If these crook surveyors, three of three of them, cannot put the matter right what will the solicitors and the courts do?

My case is a good one for a TV people to high light these crooks and if you know of any, please let me know.

MERRY X-MASS AND A HAPPY NEW YEAR.
