The new tenant has just moved in on 6mth STA back to back from her friend moving out. New tenant inisted the date be moved forward to date their friend moved out. At inspection house had some cleaning required that they agreed to clean between them. Tenant moved most of stuff in. Two days later they said new tenant and baby been bitten by fleas. we tried flea smoke bombs, no success, took all carpets out, got professional treatment in, professionals said treatment spray safe when dry but had to be left on floor for 20 days to work ok. Agreed with tenant for new carpets/laminate after treatment finished. New tenant claiming house unliveable due to floors and having a crawling baby. Pest control Professionals said she coud use temporary covering (sheeting/rug). The tenancy is in the hands of agent but tenant swore at agent and keeps threatening me via mobile with legal action. Not sure in circumstances what else can be done. Advice welcome.
