We have 4 tenants in a multilet, all on ASTs the original terms of which have expired and are thus on a month to month basis. We have offered them a reduced rent in return for signing a new 6 month agreement. Our question is, can we simply write a letter for their signature stating the the new rent and terms, saying "all other terms and conditions of your current lease remain unchanged."? Or do we need to create totally new leases?
