Tenant who is being reposessed

I have a guy who wants to move into a property. He has explained that reason he needs to move is that he has been reposessed due to a remortgage whose payments were way too high.

I have done employment checks and he is a legal executive, last 3 months payslips show a healthy wage going in, last 3 months bank statements show a wage but obviously no mortgage payments.

He has also offered him mum as guarantee and told me that she will be lending him the money for first months rent and deposit.

Is there any major reason why I should not grant him a tenancy?
