We have a number of properties on 1year ASTs, which we renew annually. We have not increased the rents since 2009, but as our rents now seem slightly below market rates, we want to increase them by at least 2% when we rollover the AST.

My question is how much notice (if any) are we obliged to give the tenant of a rent increase? The ASTS require 2 month's notice on our part, or one month's notice from the tenant.
