My tennants have just reported that there is a very strong eggy/cabbagey smell coming from a room. Just prior to this they had bled a radiator and black liquid came out. I spoke to a plumber who thinks this can't be from the rad as it's a closed system and to leave it a few days.
Any ideas what this could be and in terms of their safety are there any tests I could carry out? they have looked under the floorboards but found nothing.
