I find it offensive to hear landlords called rogues on the basis of one side of a complaint. The RLA news headlines should be careful not to repeat the stereotype when fed stories from shelter or other anti landlord lobbyists.
It encourages an anti landlord bias from courts or town halls so the RLA should fight the stereotype not repeat it in their news reports. In my experience there are a lot of very difficult tenants and town halls and advice organisations encourage antisocial behaviour by tenants such as dodging rent, leaving a mess and leaving without notice.
