Housing benefit tenant

I am looking at taking on a housing benefit tenant however this will be the first time she has claimed so the process will be new to her and me (to a large extent)as I've not taken on a fresh HB tenant for many years.

I intend to visit the local council with her to go through the whole process and understand what forms need to be filled out how long each step will take etc.

Could you please advise me :

1) What questions do I need to be asking thet council/tenant to make sure the whole process goes smoothly ?
2) What can I expect to happen and when ? The tenant is currently looking at moving in at the start of Sep.
3) Anything else I need to be aware of ?
