Hi

I am considering aquiring the Freehold of my 1 bed flat. There are 2 flats in the building and the other owner is keen to do this too.

However, The Freeholder's managing agent will not pass on the contact details of the Freeholder and insists that we must go through them. Of course they want £750 just for their admin fees. Are we obliged to use the agent or do we have a legal right to deal direct with the Freeholder?

Regards

Stephen
