I have heard that the exemption for uninhabitable properties, even under renovation is to be removed, and the full charge made from day 1.
I also understand that properties empty for more than 2 years, even where planning permission is being sought, will be charged 150% of the council tax due.

Can you advise if this is correct, and was any consultation done with the RLA.
