We have a tenancy that runs from the 23rd of the month to the 22nd. The original period has expired and the tenancy is periodic.
At the start of the tenancy the tenants paid some extra rent to bring the payment date to the 1st of each month. The tenancy agreement is for the original dates ie. 23rd to the 22nd without any amendment.

What date should the tenants use as the 1`month notice period - the 22nd or the 1st?
