Hi

I have an issue with a tenant of mine. He was a real nightmare. I finally managed to evict him a month ago. He was in rent arrears of several months. He is now suing me because the flat was in disrepair. It is a small 1st floor flat and he did not have much ventilation in the flat so condensation built up. So all on the walls in the bathroom the walls and ceiling the walls went black, but I could not get into the flat to fix the problem because he changed the locks and would avoid my calls and letters. He has 2 children and is saying the mould affected their health and him and his families. He is basically saying I have been negligent too.

Also he is saying lies of how the problem had been there for over a year and a half even though that was a lie, he stayed there and only left because he was evicted. He adds that I harassed him with my brother and called him 6/7 times a day so he is saying I caused him stress.

The case has now gone to court so if anyone can help at all that would be great
