Hi,

I own a freehold of a terraced house, which is in a row of houses. It is in the middle, and after I bought it, noticed leaking in flat roof. got it layered with new black roofing, started leaking again after few months.

spoke to builder who said my roof was covered properly, but leaking is from next house.

spoke to neighbour who told me he has a hole in roof, but he aint doing it because he has not any money.

spoke to other neighbours who acknowledged problem.

it seems to me that all freeholders are not talking with each other to get roof fixed. they are getting it fixed individually, and so roof leaks again somewhere else.

Q: How do I go about getting all freeholders to come together to agree to give one job to a roofer, thus reducing cost?

what legal documents would need to be put together to arrange this.

would this need to be done through a solicitor to make it impartial, or do I take on responsibility?

thx,

Sagar
