Husband and wife are joint tenants however the wife has given notice to quit as their marriage has ended
The husband wants to stay in the property for a "short while" until he gets sorted but they have arrears of over 2k so we would like him to leave at the same time.

How does he stand legally?
Can he stay in the property even if we want him to leave or can we end his tenancy the same time as his wife?

If he does stay in the property and refuses to leave will they both be jointly responsible for any rent?

Neither of them will text back or respond to messages so we are going to have to try to catch them in at the property.

Any help or advice would be greatly appreciated
