Tenants have left without notice, but were resident at the end of May. They have claimed housing benefit at another property from the end of April. Housing benefit want a month's money back, unless I can prove they were still at the property. It seems the word of my agent is insufficient & housing benefit seem determined to accept the tenants claim at face value. Any thoughts?
