The Gas certificate in one property was done on the 21st Sept last year but they give the paper work a few days later and it was dated 3rd Oct. this year I made an appointment with British Gas to do it on the 24th as it was the only day the tenant said it was possible for her to stay in. As British Gas signed the last certificate dating it 3rd Oct I thought it was within the time. How ever; the agent has written saying it should be by 21st and they have asked whether to send someone and get it done by the 21st?. My question is, is it illegal to get it by3rd Oct?. 24th is only a couple of days away from the 21st and does it matter so much anyway?. I feel the agent is only trying to make a buck.
