Hello,

Wonder if could have some advice on the legal side of things if a tenant has given notice.

Tenant served landlord 1 month notice to leave tenancy. Tenant then dedcided they made a mistake, cannot find anywhere else and now want to stay. Landlord still wishes for them to leave, but I assume if they do not leave or the notice is not allowed to be revoked, the landlord still has to follow the normal process of eviction?

It sounds like the tenant now wants to claim benefits also and the landlord does not want a tenant on Housing Benefit so wants to hold them to the notice they give.
