My gas safety engineer has disconnected the gas log fire at my tenanted property saying there is a leak. The fire is over 10 years old. I am trying to find out whether I am legally obliged to replace the fire with a new one, or if a repair by a registered gas safety engineer will suffice. No one seems to know the legal requirement in this situation. Carol
