Is it a MUST that the AST states the address of the landlord? I understand useful to have for serving notices etc, but in the era of e-mails, I would like privacy and confidentiality. I have had awful tenants, and aware that they still have my personal address now that they have left. they wrecked one property of mine. i don't want them visiting my house etc too! Luckily this has never happened, but would it be acceptable just to give them my telephone number and/or e-mail address? Also, I may go with an agent. If I do, won't the agent's business address suffice? grateful for clarification on this position.
