Hello,

For my own reasons, I am looking to write up a 3+ year AST. I understand that such ASTs aren't normal as they carry risks for the landlord. I am looking to rent to my brother so I am sure that I am 'safe' in that regard. My question is, can I write an AST that has a term of 3-5 years? Or will I need another type of contract?

Thanks.
