hi, anyone had this problem? Took out a policy in 2011 with direct line. Tenancy with agent, tenant working. Agent went bust shortly afterwards, along with their records.
2013 house empty, and unfortunately broken into within days. Thief caught, but Direct line refused to pay for stolen boiler and pipe work because I do not have 'proof' that original tenant in 2011 was working.
Apparently proof is copy of his employment record and a wage slip.
