Dear Members, I have got a flat rented out where the tenant is threatening to withhold their rent as there is a slight damp / mould problem on one of the bedroom walls. The problem has been identified and remedial works were actioned upon immediately but of course it takes a bit of time for the wall to dry up before the mould goes away. The room in question has been in use but the tenants are claiming that since they do not have full use of the room, they will withhold part of the rent. Please advise what is my position?
