My tenants have just seperated and the tennancy agreement runs out in a month. The lady and her son have moved out but wants to rent the house herself. The man also wants to keep the tennancy running in his sole name. The lady's Solicitor told her to approach me so I could decide who has the house. I would prefer the woman as she is local and all her family live nearby. Can I ask the man to leave or do I have to hope they can sort it out themselves? I don't want to get involved in a domestic situation but have a feeling I will somehow get dragged in to it all.
