Hi could you please advise what are the implications of acting as a landlord/agent for my sister who wants to rent the house and move out of the area. As an rla member i want to act as her agent, i.e be named as landlord on tenancy, then register the deposit and take out the landlord insurance so i can deal directly with the tenants and save her any hassle. She is in full time employment and living out of the area and it makes sense that as a landlord with a few properties in the area i deal with tenants but i am unsure how the TDS and the Rentguard insurance will work if i am her agent as it asks for the named landlord/property owner to register the deposit. thanks
