My 5 year tenant had just moved out and he has left the flat with a few problems - fridge doesn't work, electric towel rail broken,
blind broken, sofa badly stained, oven filthy, balcony covered in moss.
He always paid rent on time and I always sorted any issues he had quickly so we had a good relationship but I ma v disappointed how he has left the flat. I didn't make inspections often enough so is it my fault the flat is in this condition? Can I retain his deposit of 1 months rent that will not cover my expense to get it fir to rent out.
I have completely redecorated it.
