I need some advice from more experienced members please. Thank you for replying in advance.
I have a possession Claim against the tenant due to be heard tomorrow.Rent is Now 6 months in arrears
Today tenant has offered to be allowed to stay until end of August stating he will vacate the property voluntarily and clear all rent by end of August as he has now secured a new job. He works part time as a shop assistant having lost his job as an accountant 7 months ago.It has been an absolute nightmare getting him to pay rent he has paid small amounts as and when he could!Refused to vacate the property and failed to keep previous promises to pay rent .I am really struggling.I have decided to go ahead with the eviction tomorrow in any case but am a little concerned in case judge has sympathy with him and allows him to stay for another three months, what if at the end of this he doesn't pay the rent again. He current owed we more than 6k . It has come to light that he hasn't paid any council tax over last 3 years either. Thank you for your replies and suggestions.(Solicitors have quoted 3k to review documents and attend court hearing lasting 10minutes)so I have decided to attend myself
