Hi All. I have tenant moving in my property offcially on the 1st of June. However the property will be empty between tenancies for 8 days. I have agreed that she can access the property proir to do some decorating but stated I would need a desposit just incase she cases any damage. I have also agreed that this deposit is half of the full deposit, with the remainder being paid on the 1st of June.
How should I record/document this? Would a simply letter that we both sign stating the above do. I am hoping to having an inventory in place prior by a 3rd party that the tenant can also sign showing the state of the property prior to her decorating. Not expecting any problems as its a bit of paint but like to have all bases covered.
Thanks
