We have recently taken over the management of a number of properties and we have a tenant in occupation under a AST, but he is openly running a business from it. It is a property business he is running so it is only him and one other.

We dont have a problem with this in principle but are concernined if this could be a problem, for example if it could lead to giving him grounds for possesion?

There is nothing in the lease which either permits it or resticts this use. Should we be giving him express permission to operate a business to cover us?

look forward to your response

Thanks again
