I have furnished flat and have been claiming the 10% each year, which presumably should cover replacement any of the 'furnishings'. However I have a question about what constitutes 'furnishings'. Because in an unfurnished property I include at least an oven/cooker & hob, sometimes a fridge freezer, sometimes a washer. Are these furnishings for the purposes of W&T? Could I claim 10% on these or should these be capital expense? Do others have advice for me? Many thanks.
