End tenancy and no section 21!

Due to complaints about noise, tenant intimidation and the like I decided not to renew the tenancy - I gave the tenant one months notice which co-incided with end AST date. As a gesture, I "allowed" her a further month to allow her time to find another property. I have been advised to serve section 21 but this will mean therefore I have her for yet another month.
Should I do this?
She has already mailed me to say she will leave on the due date.
