Hi
I have recently agreed a let on my property and the new tenants were due to take over today. However they when they arrived they told me they were unable to raise the deposit until the end of the month. His employer has emailed me confirmation that he is prepared to loan the deposit money at the end of the month. I took out a full reference check and spoke to his last 2 landlords (of 4 years and 7 years respectively). All references were positive and I got good vibes from the prospective tenant and the other landlords confirmed they paid on time and kept the properties immaculate. Am I being an idiot to even consider not taking a deposit? I've delayed a decision until tomorrow to give me time to think about it and ask you guys on the forum for advice!
Many thanks
