Hello,

Does anyone have any experience of a tenant being refused contents insurance as there are no fire doors between the kitchen and the lounge (door from the kitchen being the means of egress from the property in case of fire) and also to the downstairs hall (the side door is the means of egress for those upstairs).

Forgive a perhaps basic question, but does a landlord need to provide Internal Fire doors in a privately rented house (non-HMO)

thanks in advance
