ID for Landlords?

Hi Just a quick query hoping that someone can help?

We take ID for all of our tenants - 2 forms of Photo ID (Driving Licence or Passport usually), Utility Bill (with proof of current address) and bank statement. However we do not take any ID from Landlords, we only deal with rentals and no residential sales.

Do any landlords / agents on here take ID from Landlords? Is it a requirement?

Any advice would be much appreciated thanks in advance.
