I have viewed and am interested in buying a one bedroom flat in a small block of one bedroom flats as a BTL. It is priced at £100k but only has 50 years left on the lease. I have a mortgage agreed in principle, if the lease is extended by the vender, but the vender is so far resisting, saying that they will lower the price to account for this, but wont say how much the lease renewal is. Does anyone know how I can find this information out, and does anyone have any advice? The flat otherwise fits my criteria and I have a genuine interest.
