My dreaded tenants had not paid their bills so British Gas put in a prepay meter under warrant. I've got them out and trying to get the meters changed back. The electric one was no problem at all. When the gas man came, he said there is a minimum distance to be kept between the 2 meters (fine) but they need a different kind of meter. He claimed that I have to pay for the new meter and connection. I rang BG to complain (as never said anything about charges) and they had no idea what I am on about. Has anybody had anything like this?
