Dear Advice Team.

I have a universal credit claimant on a long running (now periodic) tenancy who is eligible for the maximum (4 bed) rate.

The applicable LHA level was increased by some 18% in April of this year after being capped for several years and I wish to take full and immediate advantage of that allowance increase by either
1) one single rent increase under the current tenancy agreement
or
2) issuing a new tenancy agreement.

Am I subject to any limitations under either option?

Thank you for your assistance.
