Making Tax Digital approved software?

I was under the impression that Landlords will have to make quarterly returns to HMRC from April 2022 (might be 2023?) so started trying out various software available. The NRLA suggestion Landlord Vision was just that bit too complicated and needed far too much detail so I let that lapse after the free 6 months.

After a little looking around I found 'Apari' - simple and free for the basic package for 12 months then £6 a month. Had a portfolio overview, submitted rental income, mortgage payments and other expenses and was just at my level so I sat back and relaxed UNTIL they upgraded to Apari 2.0 - ruined it and seem to have eliminated the basic package and put the price up to £12 per month. Now no longer easy or simple to use.

I sent them a complaining email and the reply was that HMRC are making different demands - codswallop.

Then I looked at Rhino - did not seem to suit, they did offer to make all sorts of adaptation but for something designed for landlords it needed lots of tweaking and you still have to fiddle about with it.

I am currently viewing the 'try it for free' option for Kashflow as recommended by my accountant - still does not appear to be designed for landlords as there is no where to show properties, rental income and expenses. Only designed for businesses with customers and suppliers - sales and purchase orders etc.

Has anyone found easy to use, landlord suitable software yet?
