unfortunately a tenant has been found dead in bed in one of our flats recently, after we invited the police to check on their whereabouts. We are waiting for the coroner to confirm cause of death and when the property can be accessed. We have not experienced this situation before and we would like to know if you think the coroner is permitted to recommend a local specialist/trauma cleaning provider? obviously this is not a regular service you would find online so any advice or known providers of this service would be very helpful (london/surrey).
so far we don't think there is any next of kin, so would the specialist cleaner take away the bed, sofa, tv etc.?
if anyone has had to handle this type of thing, it would be very helpful as obviously we don't want to handle any of the tenant's belongings. or i'm guessing after a specialist clean a removal/disposal company could be used, if there is a strong indication there is no next of kin. any and all advice most appreciated.
