I had a property let for a few years and the letting agent took care of AST, renewal etc... Now we agreed that I will take over. I was given responsibility to manage the deposit which is in a custodial scheme. The AST period run out several month ago. I would like my tenant to sign for another year in order for him to give notice when he leaves. Do I make him sign a fresh AST or just renewal. In case of the latter where can I find the form? baring in mind there is not going to be an increase in rent.
