Hi, the managing agent for a block of flats I have a flat in currently has asked for £475 incl VAT to fill in a form LPE1 Freeholders form. I used to manage the flats and we used to do this for a minimal charge of £25 as it is just a form with questions and supply of a few documents if requested.
Back in 2019 the late James Brokenshire MP was involved in sorting out leaseholds where the charges were extortionate for people in leasehold/freehold situations and it was mentioned that freehold information forms would be a maximum of £200 plus VAT and be completed within 15 days.
Does anyone know if this became law or has anyone else been in this situation?
All advice welcome.
Thanks Colin
