Can I ask for further deposit payment if AST is renewed with increased rent?

I have a number of properties where tenants paid 4 weeks rent as a deposit. Their deposits were transferred and are held in the DPS scheme. Most of our tenants want to sign another 12 months AST when their current one expires. This time round we are looking to impose rent increases, which the tenants are aware of and have agreed to. This means that the current deposits of 4 weeks rent are now less than 4 weeks of current rent rates. Am I able to insist on a further deposit payment to bring the deposit in line with current rent charges?
