I had a property in London that was rented out fully furnished. I decided last year that I would sell it and so the tenants were given notice to leave. The property was rented out through a letting agency, Astro Lettings. I went to see my property over the weekend and was horrified to see that most of the furnishings were either completely destroyed or missing. The original deposit was returned to me at the time. Do I have any legal recourse at all against the letting agency? How this could happen at all when the letting agency had supposedly carried out a full inventory is beyond me.
