Hi there

Our tenants who live above us (and were there before we owned the upstairs flat) have laminate flooring - they are leaving and we want to sound proof the flat, as we can hear practically every step!

Apart from the obvious of taking up laminate and putting down carpet and thick underlay, could anyone advice if there are any other easy, non expensive other ways to sound proof the floor?

We live in an 1900 double bay house converted into two flats with wooden floorboards.

Many thanks
