I am completing my tax return and would like advice on if some work on the house is tax allowable.
I added a tall cupboard in the kitchen. This is to be used as a utility cupboard because there wasn't anywhere to store a vacuum cleaner or ironing board.
Is this likely to be tax allowable or could it be considered an 'improvement'? I think it's essential to be able to store these things, but that's just my opinion and may not be shared by the tax man.
