Responding to tenant on Inventory Hive

The check in/check out has been completed using Inventory hive.
The tenant has commented to the checkout report with a load of slanderous drivel, which has little/no relevance to the check out.
Do I need to respond to this, or just submit my responses to the TDS as and when it goes to dispute.
