Hi I accquired a block of flats just week before covid strarted.
I paniced a bit and rented one of my property to a tenant he disclosed he was short of funds and didnt had any deposit and rent to pay. i agreed to give him a flat for 4 weeks tenancy and made a tenancy with basic protection started on 03/04/2020 for 1 month and dyuring taht period he was suppose to pay me weekly payment.
he paid for a week or 2 and there after paying few weeks with drops and i asked him to leave as wasn't paying and he refused to leave and pay rent.

Meanwhile eviction ban came along. so, he is staying in property for free and not paying rent.

He is in arrears of deposit and rent totaling of £2945. I seen on some forums on line that tenancy with basic protection doesnt need to give notice and can go for repossession.

can you please help me to proceed further with right way.
