I have a small group of three friends renting a property on an AST. They told me that they pay the council tax but only one of the tenants is registered and is the only one paying his share.

He's prone to being bullied so I'm thinking about including council tax with the rent however I'm concerned that if one of the tenants refuses to pay, it will then become my responsibility.

Should I explain this to the council or should I just stay out of this matter altogether?
