I have a query regarding late rent payment penalties which I hope you can assist me with please.

Within the initial 12 month tenancy agreement, signed in July 2018, it states that there is a £50 interest charge per day on late payments. No further agreements have been signed since then.

Does this clause in my tenancy agreement now contravene the Tenant Fees Act (2019)?

And if the clause is now invalid, does that mean any interest charge built up up to 1st June 2020 (where the Act was extended to cover all tenancies) have also been wiped clean?
